Thornhill Pub - Menu & Social Media Photography in Thornhill

This project was shot for Thornhill Pub, one of the most well-known gathering spots in Thornhill, set inside a heritage building dating back to 1835. Part of a small local hospitality group that also includes North Restaurant and Gilaneh Restaurant, Thornhill Pub distinguishes itself with a menu that blends classic British pub fare, think bangers and mash and potato skins, with Persian influences woven throughout, from kebab-marinated fajitas to the traditional Iranian drink Sekanjabin.

Photographing a menu this varied meant adapting the visual approach dish by dish. Hearty pub classics were styled with rustic, warm lighting that matches the pub's exposed wood beams and heritage character, while the Persian-influenced dishes and drinks were captured in a way that highlights their distinct colours and ingredients, helping them stand out as a unique point of difference on the menu. The resulting images were used both for the printed menu and for ongoing social media content, giving Thornhill Pub a consistent visual identity across every guest touchpoint.
